Accessibility Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) is to advise the Authority Board and staff on issues affecting transportation accessibility and mobility for older adults and people with disabilities in Contra Costa County. The committee provides a forum to discuss issues of interest, share user perspectives, and assist in identifying and resolving concerns related to accessible transportation services and programs.

Meeting Schedule

Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of every other month at 2:00 PM.

Membership

The Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) is convened by the Contra Costa Transportation Authority’s Office of Accessibility and Equity to provide input on transportation accessibility and mobility needs for older adults and people with disabilities throughout Contra Costa County. The committee includes riders and community members with lived experience, representatives from transit and mobility service providers, and staff from social service and community-based organizations. Non-voting representatives from funding or partner agencies may also participate. Members are appointed to staggered initial terms of one, two, or three years. Following the initial term, members may be reappointed to serve additional three-year terms.
