[Walnut Creek, CA] –The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) today unveiled an immersive online open house that invites residents to virtually “walk” through bold concepts being considered for the 2050 Countywide Transportation Plan (CTP).

Accessible on any phone, tablet, or computer, the 3-D experience transforms engineering drawings into vivid, connected neighborhoods, complete with future bike boulevards, transit improvements, express-bus lanes, and greener, safer streets.

Participants can explore multiple locations across the county, toggle before-and-after views, and then complete CCTA’s Phase 2 survey, all in one seamless interface.

“Seeing is believing,” said Tim Haile, Executive Director of CCTA. “Our new digital open house puts you right on the sidewalk, in the bike lane, or on the highway so you can judge for yourself how these ideas could look and feel. We want every resident to help us prioritize the projects that matter most, and this online open house allows them to see exactly what concepts are under consideration.”

“Contra Costa is one county with many distinct communities,” said Matt Kelly, CCTA’s Acting Director of Planning. “Our plan must deliver solutions that work for every resident, worker and traveler in our county. Your input in this open house will ensure the final plan reflects all our needs and aspirations for a new transportation future.”

How to Participate

  1. Enter the 3-D Open House: https://openhouse.ccta.ca.gov
